Momentum Stage

The Momentum Stage screen classifies companies into momentum stages using price extension, trend persistence, breakout age, and recent momentum decay characteristics. The purpose is to help users compare where different price moves currently sit within their observed lifecycle.

What You Can Explore

The screen displays momentum stage classifications together with extension, persistence, breakout age, and decay measurements. These metrics help users compare the maturity and progression of price movements across companies.

How Companies Are Classified

Companies are assigned to Early, Mid, Late, or Exhausted momentum stages using predefined rules based on price extension, trend persistence, breakout age, and recent momentum decay characteristics.

What The Metrics Show

Extension measures how far price has moved relative to its recent trading range. Persistence measures the consistency of higher highs and higher lows. Age measures how long a move has existed since a breakout event. Decay measures whether recent momentum is being maintained or weakening.

Disclaimer

Momentum stages describe observed price behavior at the time of evaluation. Inclusion in a stage does not imply recommendation, expected performance, or future price direction.
