Chart Patterns

Chart Patterns helps you see which NIFTY 500 stocks currently show one of six classical chart patterns, and review each pattern's status and pattern-specific measurements on the price chart.

What You Can Explore

Browse stocks by pattern type โ€” Head & Shoulders, Inverse Head & Shoulders, Double Bottom, Double Top, Bull Flag and Triangle โ€” filter by status, open an occurrence to see it drawn on the price chart with its measurements, and view a stock's full Pattern History.

How It Works

Each pattern type is identified by a fixed set of rules applied to daily market data. Patterns are checked once a day after market close. Each occurrence records its start date, detection or confirmation information, and status timeline.

How To Read Pattern Status

Formation start is the first point of the pattern on the chart. Detected is the first day the complete structure could be identified. Forming means the structure is complete but price has not yet closed beyond the pattern's breakout line. Confirmed means it has - the Breakout marker on the chart shows that day. Invalidated means a required condition was broken, or confirmation did not occur in time. Expired is used for Bull Flags and Triangles that were not confirmed in time. Ended means a confirmed occurrence is no longer tracked, either because price moved back through the pattern or because its tracking window closed. Forming and Confirmed occurrences are current; all others are history. Measurements are descriptive and vary by pattern type.

Interpretation

A pattern describes a price structure identified from historical market data. The displayed measurements describe that occurrence and are not scores, rankings, predictions, or indications of future price direction.
